Thirty Two – Celebrating Halloween With Halloween Wigs And Costume Accessories

by Liam Ethan

Halloween is loved by children of all ages, both young and old. One of the most exciting decisions about Halloween is choosing just the right costume to express your holiday glee. Whether you choose to go as something that may slink out of a horror story or something as ethereal as skipping out of a fairytale, you are sure to find just what you need, as long as you give yourself enough time to choose what you want and make sure everything fits right before All Hallows Eve. Once you have your costume picked out, you should then go about choosing just the right Halloween accessories to emphasis your costume.

As with costumes, you have a lot to choose from when it comes to Halloween accessories and Halloween wigs. Think about the special effects you want to have and then go from there. Do you want to look your scariest? Then perhaps a striking jet-black bouffant wig to impersonate the bride of Frankenstein is for you. Of course, if you wish, you can also go glamorous and impersonate anyone from Lana Turner to Marilyn Monroe as well an elegant blonde wig. And it just doesn’t have to stop with your wig and your costume. You can also find Halloween makeup, temporary tattoos, and even eye contacts to change the color of your eyes and make your Halloween costume even more realistic.

Another popular accessory is that of Fairy wings. Obvious costume choices that require wings include butterflies, angels and bumblebees. But, don’t limit yourself! It’s your costume; you can have Fairy wings if you want Fairy wings. There is the Pegasus, which technically does have wings, but this is not the first costume that comes to mind when thinking up “winged” costumes.

If you do decide on a Pegasus you may need to enlist a partner to complete the costume. It’s hard to pull off an entire horse costume complete with wings without two people. But, you may be able to think of something.

If you don’t want to deal with relying on a partner, then a one-person costume may be more your style, you could add “Fairy” wings to your bat, vampire, vampires, devil or flying fish costume. Keep in mind that most wings are made of netting, gauze or feathers. Not the best accompany on a rainy night. If you do decide on Halloween wings, you may also need a Halloween umbrella.

As you look for your costume, remember that you should pick up some Halloween accessories you’ll need to match the outfit. This makes your look as authentic as possible when you go to your festive Halloween ball or trick or treating with children door-to-door. You can choose to be any kind of royalty, or a jolly court jester. You can also be a Viking, barbarian, Indian princess or blushing bride. Halloween costumes can also be accessorized realistically with fake weaponry like plastic or cardboard swords.

Finally, don’t forget to accessorize your Halloween costume with shoes, stockings, undergarments or whatever else you might need. Some new footwear might suffice, such as dainty high heels with a princess costume or monster mashing tromping boots. The footwear you choose set off that costume and make you a hit at any party.
